Position Title: Part-Time English Teacher

Job Description: We seek a dynamic and experienced English teacher who is enthusiastic about educating children and possibly adults. The successful candidate will lead small classes, ranging from one-on-one lessons to groups of up to nine students. Our curriculum includes creative “special lessons” involving crafts and activities that make learning English fun and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons to children and occasionally adults.
  • Utilize provided teaching materials with minimal preparation required.
  • Participate in special activity lessons.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Native English speaker.
  • Current residence in Japan with a valid working visa.
  • Experience in teaching English, preferably in an eikaiwa setting.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work creatively and passionately with children.

Location: Takase-cho, Mitoyo (5-minute walk from JR Takase Station)

Contract Period: Until end of March 2025, with potential for yearly renewal.

Remuneration:

  • 2,500 to 3,500 yen per 45/50-minute class.
  • Transportation allowance.
  • Contract completion bonus.

Starting Date: September 2024
